The plum blossom (梅花, méihuā) is an important symbol in Chinese culture, representing resilience, perseverance, and renewal, as it blooms in the harshness of winter, heralding the arrival of spring. Its five petals are associated with the Five Blessings (longevity, wealth, health, virtue, and peace), while its elegant and enduring nature embodies Confucian virtues of moral strength and integrity.
