This experimental - and ongoing - project aims to reconsider the visual representation of the relationship between China and the world transgressing temporal and spatial boundaries. The site was initially created by a group of MA-level students at Eötvös Loránd University during the spring term of the 2020-2021 academic year, as part of a course entitled "China and the World/ Classical Chinese Culture". Subsequently, the project has evolved into a much larger endeavor through the rich contributions of further student groups. The project has also expanded to include Central European University, and it is currently being enriched by students coming from various departments but with a shared interest in transnational Chinese history, society, and culture. The contributors approach the question from a variety of thematic perspectives, presenting the multifaceted nature of the dynamic relationship between China and the world.

E kísérleti projekt célja, hogy újragondoljuk Kína és a külvilág kapcsolatának vizuális reprezentációját korokon és földrajzi határokon átívelően. Az oldalt először az ELTE Kína és a külvilág / Klasszikus kínai kultúra című órájára járó MA-s diákok készítették közös munka eredményeként a 2020-2021/2. félévben. A közreműködők mind más-más tematikai szempontból közelítették meg a kérdést, bemutatva Kína és a világ dinamikus kapcsolatának sokszínű természetét. A projektben később újabb diákcsoportok is részt vettek, tovább gazdagítva a tartalmakat. A 2024-2025-ös tanévtől kezdve a projekt a Central European University-n működik tovább, ahol különféle szakokról érkező diákok bővítik tovább a gyűjteményt, akiket összeköt a kínai történelem, társadalom és kultúra iránti érdeklődés.
